The first collaboration of Active Zone Outdoor with the team ‘Landscapes of Cyprus’ took place with great success, during the last Sunday of autumn, November 28 2021. The Lara Peninsula hiking activity gave the opportunity to 65 participants to explore the impressive coastal geoforms of Lara Peninsula, to admire the coastal cliffs, the sea caves, the natural arches, the beautiful bays and the unique flora and fauna of the area. The event was organized under the framework of the Mediterranean Day, which was set by EU members as 28 November. The event was supported by the Cyprus Institute for Maritime and Shipping (CMMI), as it is fully in line with the objectives of the Institute's program called "Our Sea". Late in the afternoon, the participants enjoyed a magnificent sunset, from the top of the rock of Gerakopetra. The activity was completed with dinner in a traditional tavern at Kathikas village. Active Zone Outdoor express its thankfulness to Mr Kyriakos Kefalas, the main manager of the team “Landscapes of Cypurs”, for the cooperation and for undertaking the tour around Lara peninsula, as well as Mr Zacharias Siokouros, CEO of CMMI - Cyprus Marine and Maritime Institute, for supporting the activity. We are very optimistic that future activities and ideas will follow in order to get to know and explore the magical and unknown side of our island. Special thanks to George Junior Koumandaris, Lefteris Eleftheriou and Andry Louka from Active Zone Outdoor, for their valuable help in the preparation and implementation of the activity.
