During the European Week of Sports on Saturday, September 24, Active Zone outdoor in coorperation with Agios Mnason cycling academy have organized the Be Active event "Paracycling - handcycle". The event took place at Tekke park in Larnaca, where participants had the opportunity to try one of the four categories of paracycling. Afterwards, they had tried the handcycles,participants got on wheelchairs and they had to execute small exercises with the wheelchairs. Main goal of the event was to promote the sport of paracycling, to provide opportunity to people with no disabilities to move around with the wheelchairs and feel some of the difficulties that people with physical disabilities encounter and have to deal with every day! It was such a great experience for all participants. Many thanks to the athletes of the Paracycling club who provided training and instructions to the group of participants.
